Founded by Karina Mauro in Mineola, Long Island, Willow's Cove is rooted in the belief that beauty, wellness, and community go hand in hand. The name itself reflects this vision: the willow tree symbolizes strength, flexibility, and growth, while a cove represents safety, calm, and refuge. Together, they embody what we've built, a place where clients feel grounded, supported, and transformed.

Meet Karina Mauro
With over 27 years in the industry, Karina Mauro is the creative force behind Willow's Cove Salon. A certified extension specialist, color expert, and trained educator, she's studied under industry legends including Michealla Blissett Williams (CEO of Salon 718) and Richard Calcasola. Karina continues to travel throughout the United States and Europe to bring the latest techniques and trends back to Mineola.
Her philosophy is simple: create hair that looks beautiful in the salon and works in real life. Every decision she makes is rooted in balance, health, and personalization.
Beyond the salon, Karina is a KIWANIS of Mineola member, serves on the Latinas in Business Advisory Board, and is passionate about creating spaces where beauty, wellness, and empowerment intersect.

Certified Extension, Curly Hair, and Fantasy Color Specialist - Tanisha's love for hair started before she could even imagine making it a career. At just 5 years old, she was carefully finishing braid ends for her godmother, a small moment that sparked a lifelong passion. By 15, she was already working in a salon, and by 18, she made it official, enrolling in cosmetology school and never looking back.
